TREATMENT OF WRINKLES WITH BOTOX

Botox is the official name for  the botulinum toxin type A.

Botox injections are the most popular cosmetic treatments for smoothing wrinkles, eliminating excessive sweating, and raising eyebrows.
The ideal treatment to get rid of the appearance of fatigue is by injecting botulinum toxin or “Botox”. Safe, fast and effective, the lines of expression on the forehead, frowns (glabella) and wrinkles formed in the corner of the eye are eliminated.
Botox treatment relaxes the muscles that create the lines of expression, reduces the intensity of contractions and eliminates wrinkles.

THE AREAS THAT CAN BE TREATED ARE:

  • The wrinkles that cross the forehead (frontal muscle)
  • The wrinkles formed in the corner of the eye “goose foot” (orbicularis muscle)
  • The wrinkles that appear vertically and horizontally between the eyebrows at the root of the nose (procerus muscle and corrugato muscle).

Botox is injected intramuscularly using a very fine needle. The process is almost painless and takes a maximum of 15 minutes. After the injection there is a possibility of a slight swelling that decreases after a few minutes.

FOLLOWING THE BOTOX INJECTIONS, THERE ARE POSSIBILITIES OF THE FOLLOWING SIDE EFFECTS:

  • Pain or swelling of the area and redness of the injected area.
  • Headache.

After injection, the effect sets in within 2-14 days. The duration of the effect is between 3 and 6 months, depending on the dose administered and depends on each individual body of the patients.
